The TRANSAT dress is the perfect summer sewing project, for lounging by the water. Easy and quick to sew, it nevertheless doesn't lack elegance. Its bodice features pretty pleats on the shoulders, its neckline is embellished with a V-neckline front and back (bra-friendly!), and it gets a little cheeky with a lovely front slit that adds sophistication to the design. With its flowing and cinched silhouette, the TRANSAT dress is very comfortable to wear.

40x70 cm of fusible interfacing (Vlieseline G710 type) for the neckline edges and the center front slit
2 snap fasteners

Fabric choice

Light to medium weight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with varying degrees of drape depending on the desired look. Viscose, soft jacquard, Tencel, cotton, crepe, poplin, satin, or twill. A fluid fabric will create a soft drape, while a fabric with a little more body will add more volume.

Our viscose twills, viscose poplins, and viscose jacquards will be perfect for sewing the Transat dress.
