The Principle

Do you already own a Maison Fauve pattern, in paper or PDF format?

Good news: many designs can be transformed to create a new piece, without starting from scratch. This is what we call pattern hacks.

A hack consists of modifying the cut, length, or certain details of an existing pattern (sleeves, neckline, volume, garment type, etc.) to obtain a new version, while relying on a base you are already familiar with.

How to transform my pattern?

Depending on the design, the transformation is done in two ways:

👉 With an explanatory tutorial

• As a step-by-step article on the website
• Or in L'Œil Fauve magazine

The tutorial guides you through the adjustments to make: drafting, cutting, assembly, and finishing.

👉 With a PDF extension / supplement

Some transformations require additional pieces or ready-to-use drafts. In this case, you can download a PDF extension, available:
